MILA and RTU event on AI opportunities in accounting

MILA and RTU event on AI opportunities in accounting

On August 27, Riga hosted the event "AI in Accounting: Practical Solutions and Opportunities", organized by the Latvian Association for Artificial Intelligence (MILA) in collaboration with the Riga Technical University (RTU), bringing together 70 professionals from the fields of accounting, finance, and business.

The great interest in the event shows that the use of artificial intelligence in accounting and financial processes is becoming increasingly relevant. For companies, the question is no longer only what opportunities AI will offer in the future, but also how towhat solutions are available today and how to integrate them into your daily work.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with various directions of AI use – from current technology trends and AI use in financial and accounting work to work with company data, process automation, as well as customer and partner research.

The experience, practical examples and solutions were shared by:

  • Evaldas Urtanas, ASYA– on current AI news;
  • Betty Dean Muiznieks, ANIMAS– how to turn AI into a practical tool for financial and accounting work;
  • Uldis Karlovs-Karlovskis, Moon Moon– for connecting AI to company data and the ability to work with it in natural language;
  • Jānis Bēniķis, AI Masterlab– the use of MI without complex automation;
  • Liga Vinkele, Fintelligence– on the possibilities of MI in customer and partner research.

The event was complemented by questions from the participants, discussions and networking, giving the opportunity not only to learn about the available AI solutions, but also to discuss their practical use in the daily processes of companies.

“70 participants in one event on the use of AI in accounting is a very good signal. We see that the interest of companies is becoming more practical – people want to understand not only what artificial intelligence can do, but how to use specific solutions in their work today. At MILA, we want to continue to create exactly such meetings, bringing together AI solution developers with companies and professionals who can use these solutions in practice,”says Ieva Celma, a board member of MILA.

The event took place onRTU Science and Innovation Centre MOON premises in RigaMILA would like to thank the Riga Technical University for the cooperation, the speakers for sharing their experience and all 70 participants for their great interest and active involvement.

MILA will continue to organize events where companies and professionals will have the opportunity to get to know the practical possibilities of using artificial intelligence, meet solution developers and exchange experiences on AI implementation in various industries.
