The Artificial Intelligence Association of Latvia (MILA) has become a full member of the AI, Data and Robotics Association (ADRA) – the leading European public-private partnership in the field of artificial intelligence, data and robotics. Membership in ADRA strengthens the representation of the Latvian AI ecosystem at the European level, providing access to the latest industry initiatives, policy-making processes and international cooperation opportunities. This step opens up new opportunities for Latvian companies, researchers and innovation developers to participate more actively in European AI development initiatives and funding programs.

The Artificial Intelligence Association of Latvia (MILA) has officially joined the AI, Data and Robotics Association (ADRA) - the largest European platform in the field of artificial intelligence, data and robotics. MILA is the first and only organization from Latvia and the fourth from the Baltic States to gain membership in this association.
ADRA was founded on 21 May 2021 by the merger of five leading European organisations – BDVA, CAIRNE, ELLIS, EurAI and euRobotics. With more than 180 member organisations from across Europe, it is the main platform bringing together industry, research institutions and public sector in a joint dialogue with the European Commission on AI, data and robotics policy and funding under Horizon Europe.
What does it mean for the Latvian AI ecosystem
ADRA is not just a network organisation - it is the private side in the official dialogue with the European Commission where Horizon Europe work programmes and EU policy priorities in AI, data and robotics are shaped. MILA's participation ensures that the perspective of Latvian companies, researchers and the public sector is represented where key decisions on the development of Europe's digital economy are made - not just following these decisions, but participating in their shaping.

Direct interest representation: MILA represents its members and the Latvian AI community in European-level discussions on AI, data and robotics policy and funding. Early access to Horizon Europe funding opportunities and international consortium building. As the first Latvian organisation in ADRA, MILA is paving the way for other Latvian actors – companies, universities and public sector institutions – who want to engage in European-level cooperation in this strategically important area.
By joining ADRA, MILA demonstrates its commitment to act as a strategic intermediary between the Latvian AI ecosystem and the European decision-making centre - ensuring that Latvia is not just a recipient of EU policies, but an active shaper of them.
