On April 10, 2025, the Artificial Intelligence Association of Latvia (MILA) organized a seminar titled “AI in Organizations: Practical Steps” at Zunda Towers. The event brought together experts from various sectors to discuss the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into organizational workflows. The seminar aimed to provide attendees with actionable insights into AI adoption, focusing on real-world examples, evaluation criteria, and prerequisites for successful project execution.
The seminar commenced with an opening address by Guntis Kalniņš, a founding partner of MILA and a seasoned technology industry expert. Kalniņš presented methodologies for implementing AI projects at the organizational level. Subsequent sessions featured practical case studies from Latvian organizations, including presentations by Ilze Žukova (Latvian State Radio and Television Centre), Guna Krūmiņa (State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia), and Jānis Bēniķis (Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks).
A central component of the seminar was the panel discussion titled “Implementing Artificial Intelligence in an Organization.” Panelists included Guntis Kalniņš, Ilze Žukova, Guna Krūmiņa, Rinalds Celmiņš (Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Affairs), and Jānis Bēniķis. The discussion emphasized the necessity of a strategic approach, high-quality data, clear internal communication, and the adaptability of AI solutions across various sectors.
The seminar attracted a wide array of participants from both public institutions and private sector companies, reflecting a growing interest in AI integration across different industries. The seminar concluded with an informal networking session, providing a platform for participants to exchange ideas and explore collaborative opportunities. This segment aimed to strengthen connections among organizations that are either currently implementing or planning to adopt AI solutions in their operations.
